Two days ago, the meeting that everyone has been waiting for in months finally took place. US President Donald Trump and North Korea’s dictator Kim Jong-un traveled both Singapore to discuss the relationship of countries, peace on the Korean Peninsula, and a reported disarmament of North Korea’s nuclear weapons.
The historical meeting has dominated the news broadcasts during the day – but a lot of the headlight light has also landed on an unexpected actor.
On-site in Singapore there is a former NBA pro, Dennis Rodman, one of the few people who has met both Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un.
The reason Dennis Rodman is at the meeting is not the result of an official mission to join the two leaders, even though he himself has stated on Twitter that he is there to support his friends.
The whole trip is sponsored by Potcoin, reports The Independent.
Potcoin is a cryptocurrency that wants to be the obvious currency in the cannabis trade and, according to The Independent, also sponsored Dennis Rodman’s trip to North Korea last year.
Dennis Rodman has not only walked on Singapore’s streets with his Potcoin-shirt, he has also been featured in CNN and has been photographed by other media that are in place to guard the meeting.
If the meeting will result in a bigger boost for Potcoin remains to be seen.
